Battlegrounds is the combat feature of the game where both players share the Battlefield: a hex tile map where they deploy units &amp; stratagems from their reserve which they control and battle with, ultimately trying to kill their opponent’s Warrior General to win the game.

The Barracks is the location within Aradena that allows players to view their Aradena NFTs which are available for their in-game army. This includes warriors, women warriors, various types of units, and various special action items. Players can use the barracks to change their army loadout, and save different loadout templates for different gameplay strategies.

Recruitment is a system that allows the owners of Warriors of Aradena, and Women of Aradena NFTs to mint from a new generation. Each new generation will be part of a new and different NFT collection on a layer 2 solution, and will be an even split of male and female warriors. Players must use a Recruitment Rune to perform a recruitment, which will be distributed as an in-game reward.

The Mercenary feature is a NFT-rental system that allows players to loan their warriors to other accounts within Aradena's gaming ecosystem. A public job postings screen will display all Warriors available for loan, with pre-determined time frames and percentage earning splits. Earnings are then automatically sent to the owners and players wallets throughout the lending period. This gives players the chance to earn a passive income from their NFTs.

Aradena: Battlegrounds is an immersive, turn-based Play-and-Earn strategy game on a hexagonal battlefield where players build and train their army of NFTs and battle other players in complex, strategic gameplay. Players receive loot chests with variable skill-based rewards based on their performance in battle, including tokens and NFT collectables that can be traded or used in battle.

There are a number of key dynamics which facilitate complex strategic gameplay, including command points, special actions, traits and powers, unique environment aspects, support mechanics, and many combat mechanics including unit and rotational modifiers. Players can also create unique army loadouts in the Barracks and collect unique packs to strengthen their army.
