AMA Recap: Rainmaker x GameFi.org

On Dec 15, 2021, we successfully organized an AMA event with Rainmaker, the free platform to play hundreds of P2E games — connecting games, gamers, and guilds worldwide. at our GameFi’s Telegram Channel. Therefore, we’d like to give a massive thanks to all of our audiences who joined us, as well as our special guest Mr. Victor Tan-Chief of Game Growth from Rainmaker, who shared a very thoughtful knowledge of the project. This is a recap of the entire session, in case you missed it!

The team provided information about the project’s features, special insight into the game vision, upcoming plans, etc.

Host: Can you introduce yourself to the community? Your position and how did you come up with the idea of Rainmaker?

Mr.Victor Tan: Thanks to the host Jane & GameFi invitation today. My name is Victor Tan, I am the co-founder and Chief of Game Growth of Rainmaker Games. I got involved in blockchain since 2013, and i am a Atari Gamer since 25 years ago, I was CEO for a few enterprises in the Asia region. While as a gamer, I am enjoyed being the community leader, guild leaders in most of MMORPG games i played, example, WoW, Guild War 1 & 2, Cabal Online., etc. And Axie infinity game is what brought me and our founder Will, into this play-to-earn and NFTs games industry, first time ever we see the real use case and utilities of crypto in people’s life, it helps a lot of people in the developing countries get access to the opportunity to earn crypto, learn about crypto, learn about NFTs, and by doing what they love, they even earn a better living now.

In Rainmaker Games, we saw the success of axie and the opportunity to build a guild in the game. Fast forward to today we have over 1200 players and over 32,000 members in our ecosystem. Rainmaker Games is a free global platform to play hundreds of Play-to-Earn games, connecting gamers, games, and guilds worldwide, backed by our $RAIN token.

Rainmaker Games is not a guild. It was developed from a guild background, but it is a PLATFORM that connects gamers, games, and guilds. With its openness and inclusiveness, the platform allows all level players and other guild players to connect at one place, they are there to play — earn — learn — and connect. 🎮❤️

Host: You have a great background, Sir. Rainmaker has a very fantastic concept too! Please give us a brief description on what Rainmaker is all about. What is its unique features?

Rainmaker Games is backed by top tier investors like Alameda, Animoca Brands, Coinfund, Polygon, Republic, Merit Circle and more. It gained overwhelming attention from the GameFi community through our most recent $6.5 million seed round announced last week, Dec 9th.

- Gamers join Rainmaker because they are incentivized to participate and engage with playing new games; connect to other players and the top-ranked players. If they so desire, they could verify their game profiles or level up in training, to get the option of getting a “guild verified” status to join the top guilds.

- Games join Rainmaker because they get access to gamers, a data-driven platform, and the gamers community directly.

- Guilds join to get access to gamers that are vetted and “guild verified”.

Host: What is the major milestone you have achieved so far? What are your upcoming activities? Please share your roadmap to the community.

Mr.Victor Tan: With 1,200 players, 800 players in the training, 25,000 discord members, 55,000 Twitter followers, 33,000 Telegram community, and over $700k in monthly revenue, we have a pretty strong and competitive gamers community in the p2e ecosystem now. We would like to expand this community when we launch our beta platform in Q1 2022.

Rainmaker’s players are trained by the in-game top-ranked players/coaches that they are playing to earn. Their average earning is usually +30% above the average players earning in the game, which makes Rainmaker an attractive p2e community to the gamers.

As for our roadmap:

In this month, we had already set up our Fair Token Launch on Copper Launch platform, which will be on December 17th, 2021, which allows our early supporters and community members to get the first access to buy $RAIN token at the fairest auction approach.

On Q1 2022 or as soon as January 2022, we would launch our Beta Gaming Platform, which allows users to sign up on our platform, set up their profile, and start playing. There will be some top games developers in our list, and we will have partnership announcements with them, in December and Jan 2022.

As we develop the Rainmaker platform & its ecosystem, we are working closely with our strategic investors, to roll out more features on the platform, which would include guild verification, gamer profile personalization & user experience, in-game NFT marketplace, and more. Here’s the 1st question from @SIMBAJONMARKAN1:

“I’ve read from your website that Rainmaker Games is a free P2E gaming platform. My question is, how can I join your guild? What are the requirements for me to join?”

Mr.Victor Tan: Everyone user will have access to free-to-play P2E games on our platform.

Users will be prompted to link their social profiles, game profile, etc to level up their profile and access to more games that require purchased NFTs to play, and we provide rev-sharing model with using the platform’s rented NFTs, or rev-sharing model with the guild they joined.

While we will have a seamless user experience for users to get “guild verified” through our automated verification process on the platform. 😊 More details will be provided soon.

Gamers can play hundreds of P2E games for free — all in one platform. They’ll get access to different games based on their play level and can level up as they go. We’ll use the data to drive a flawless, personalized user interface that’s tailored to their interest, skill level, location, and language.

Our gamer profile starts with entry level information for novice players. The more you fill out, the better your user experience will be.

You can level up to play with better NFTs, get guild verified, manage your earnings, chat, and learn, all from one spot. Every user has a better chance to start now, they do not have to join different guilds to try to get sponsorship, as they can get their guild verified status here to join a guild easily.

“How secure will smart contracts be? Will the code be audited by an outsider before the public launch? And do you have an ambassador program? If yes, how can I be one?”

Mr.Victor Tan: In Rainmaker Games, since our core team are an international team, we are doing everything in high level of transparency, integrity, and security measurements are always being implemented. Our infrastructures, wallet security, and smart contracts are all edited by reputable 3rd party audit firms, one of them is https://www.certik.com.

“Are you planning to promote your project in countries / regions where English is not good? Do you have a local community for them to better understand your project?”

Yes, we are currently introducing our project into many countries, eg: Philippines, Vietnam, Indonesia, Thailand, Korea, USA, Venezuela, Malaysia, Taiwan, South African countries, etc.

We are developing the easy-to-use user interface for our users, i believe any users with minimum english understanding will be able to enjoy our beta platform launching soon, as we develop we definitely hope we can roll out more language supports to the different communities who join our movement in this play-to-earn space. ❤️

Question 1: What is the meaning of the name of the project and why did you name it that way?

Mr.Victor Tan: Rainmaker — is an individual who bring a positive impact to a group, an organization, or a community.

We believe in the collective efforts in playing games (where people do what they love — play games), Rainmaker will eventually help more people play better games, earn better in-game rewards, learn and connect by joining our platform and community worldwide. 🎮👬👭

Question 2: PARTNERSHIP & COLLABORATIONS are the backbone in making every project more widespread. Can you list some of your partners with us?

Mr.Victor Tan: Rainmaker Games are backed by most of the top tier names in the industry, which includes Polygon Studio, Animoca Brands, CoinFund, Raptor, CMS, Republic, Draft Venture, Sky Vision Capital, Merit Circle and more.

Question 3: Revenue is a very important aspect for all projects to survive and maintain the project / company. What is the way to generate profit / revenue of token? What is the income model?

Mr.Victor Tan: Currently we have over 700k revenue per month from our in-house guild model where we originated, with 1200 players and 800 in training, we are still growing our in-house guild, their earning are higher than the average players as they are trained by top-ranked coach/player in the game they played.

As we develop our free global platform for hundreds of P2E games, with more partnership announcements are introduced to the public, we believe huge amount of players will be using our platform to start their first P2E experience in some of the newest P2E games introduced in the market.

The player will be using $RAIN token to buy/rent NFTs from our marketplace, and as we develop the marketplace features, we will allow P2P trade/rent game NFTs in our platform by using $RAIN, while we will see the huge potential of $RAIN as a game currency or universal game token being unlocked. $RAIN is a ERC-20 token, we are now bridging the smart contract to Binance Smart Chain, and in future our $RAIN will be on Solana, Polygon, Immutable X, etc, this few major chains that where most of the P2E games existed as well.

Question 4: The idea of project is really unique and incredible, how did this idea come about?

Mr.Victor Tan: As a gamer, since Atari games, I believe gamer or non-gamer are certainly attracted by play-to-earn opportunities, it sound like a dream come true opportunity for everyone who can play game or love to play game.

We like to lower the barrier for everyone to have a chance to play, earn, learn, and connect by using our free global platform, with hundreds of P2E games will be introduced.
