Binance Labs Invests $4M In Ultimate Champions To Promote Web3 Gaming

Ultimate Champions is a Web3 platform for sports games that will be created on the BNB Chain. Binance Labs, the company's venture capital and business accelerator, invested $4 million in it. The funding will be used by Ultimate Champions to improve  its games, expand its community, and work with other sports partnerships.

The Binance Fan Token Platform will eventually get Ultimate Champions, allowing users to enhance their fan engagement and experience. The next year, fantasy basketball will be included as part of an exclusive relationship between Ultimate Champions and EuroLeague, the biggest professional basketball management organization in Europe.

Yi He, Co-Founder of Binance and Head of Binance Labs, said:

“The world of Web3 gaming is expanding and Binance Labs is looking for Web3 gaming projects that have missions of providing real entertainment to the users rather than the ones focusing on giving out more opportunities to ‘earn’.”

The Ultimate Champions platform, which was first focused on football when it was released in April 2022, included improved gameplay and a simple user experience, with each participant assuming the role of a sports club manager. Over 45 football clubs from nine different European divisions have partnered with the team, including Arsenal F.C., VfL Wolfsburg, Stade de Reims, and others. Every game is synchronized to coincide with calendars for actual athletic events, and each athlete's actual performance will be converted into a virtual score.
