Dogecoin Foundation Received 20M $DOGE From Vitalik Buterin

In the middle of crypto drama series and market fluctuation, Vitalik secretly made another donation of 20M $DOGE to the Dogecoin Foundation on November 2, 2022.

The transaction was reported by Twitter user @mishaboar - a reputable news sharer of Dogecoin on November 13 with a link to view the transaction on Dogecoin Explorer.

Both Vitalik and Dogecoin Foundation have not yet stated on how this donation will be used in the future. However, Dogecoin Foundation is recorded to transfer the same amount of money to an exchange address just hours later, according to on-chain data.

This is known to be the second time Vitalik donates to this organization. Though the two sides are keeping silent about the work behind it, it is noticeable that Dogecoin has been receiving more attention and curiosity from the industry on how its ecosystem will develop.

The Dogecoin Foundation is an independent entity that supports the Dogecoin network through advocacy and non-blockchain or core development efforts. In December 2021, Dogecoin Foundation stated that they are working with Vitalik Buterin on constructing proof-of-stake (PoS) capabilities for the Dogecoin network.

Communities have expressed excitement about this move despite the unclear message behind the scenes.
