Solana Unveils Google Partnership, Smartphones, Web3 Store At Breakpoint

Four-day conference Solana Breakpoint from Nov. 4 to Nov. 7, gathered 13,000 attendees in just one of its four venues. Solana made a number of launch announcements at Breakpoint 2022 in Libson, the ecosystem's yearly conference, as it gets ready to enter the mainstream.
QR Code giveaways and GeoNFTs for Solana Store
Soon after, Solana Spaces' CEO and creator Vibhu Norby took the stage to offer an interactive presentation while soliciting audience members to scan QR codes to enter a drawing.
Norby further unveiled the Solana Store in Miami, showcasing a walkaround video of people checking out the store, as shown above. In addition, the CEO said:
“Now anyone, anywhere can build their own Solana Store.”
Norby announced the debut of GeoNFTs, a nonfungible token (NFT) implementation that enables users to geo-tag a region in their city, while explaining the procedure for building a Solana store. He added these details:
“If you have a GeoNFT, you can redeem it 1-for-1 with the exclusive rights to open a Solana store in that region.”
Solana smartphones available for pre-order in early 2023
“It’s made for the people,” said the Solana mobile team while announcing the launch of its upcoming smartphones. Beginning in 2023, Solana mobile phone preorders will be accepted. However, the business hasn't provided an official release date.
The Solana phone stands out for its capacity to safely store the private keys of cryptocurrency wallets. A Qualcomm chipset with an Arm-based SoC will power the Solana smartphone, higher productivity.
Solana dApp store: A promise of crypto-friendly policies
Solana announced the opening of the Solana App Store in preparation for the Web3 disruption. A Solana representative emphasized the significance of a positive user experience in Web3 throughout the session.
Solana's DApp store supports the cause by promising to do away with fees, revenues, and charges. Additionally, the business informed the interested users that submissions will begin in January 2023.
Google Cloud is soon to become a Solana node validator
While the aforementioned announcements represent a number of achievements for Solana, the ecosystem's collaboration with Google Cloud clearly stole the show. A block-producing Solana validator is being developed by Google Cloud to join and validate the network.
The Oct. 27-first disclosed Blockchain Node Engine by Google Cloud will be a part of the Solana chain starting in 2023. Users will be able to start a dedicated Solana node in the Cloud thanks to the integration.
The ability to access past data will also be facilitated by Google Cloud's indexing of Solana data and its eventual delivery to BigQuery, a fully-managed, serverless data warehouse by the end of the next year
