Modhaus, an entertainment start up company which aims to build an “Open architecture ecosystem” in the K-pop market by using NFT and blockchain technology, has announced an exclusive partnership with The Sandbox.
As part of the agreement, the partners will establish a social hub featuring events hosted in the metaverse to boost fan interaction with the blockchain-supported K-pop band. Along with that, the K-pop label will produce tripleS NFTs that are officially licensed, including avatars, wearables, and digital collectibles that can be used in The Sandbox.
Officially launched in 2021, Modhaus is a Web3 initiative that uses blockchain technology to promote K-pop culture. To that purpose, the company created the blockchain-based Cosmo platform, which lets supporters of artists with tripleS NFTs vote for them
Triple S, the company's first K-pop act, is the first to create its member composition using blockchain technology. There are 24 members total in the K-pop group, but only eight have been identified thus far. The community decided to divide the group into two sections in September: "Acid Angel from Asia'' and "+(KR)ystal Eyes."
Impressively, the group's debut placed them at the top of the US, Mexican, and Turkish iTunes K-Pop Album Charts and at number nine on the US and Canadian iTunes K-Pop Song Charts. It debuted at position 74 on the worldwide albums chart on iTunes.
Cindy Lee, CEO of The Sandbox Korea said that they are pleased to collaborate with Modhaus, which creates new ways with a blockchain system in the music industry so that K-pop fans can enjoy the music of tripleS at The Sandbox in a more creative way.
Joseph Baek, co-founder of Modhaus shared that the partnership with the Sandbox will help their collective long-term aim is mass adoption of NFTs and with Modhaus paving the way to revolutionize the K-Pop entertainment market, the Sandbox will be an essential partner in our journey to expansion.
